Speaking of the ball, I'd just like to say that I've really been looking forward to this one all summer. Not only will it be our last, but I have a pretty good feeling about it, too. With that said, who wants to go with me?

Knew there was a reason I liked you, Prewett. Not many folks'll tease Sirius like that, and it does his ego good.

Sirius, pal, after years of observation, it seems girls like to be singled out and asked individually, rather than just throwing the floor open for volunteers. No self-respecting girl is going to throw herself at your feet.

Well -- okay, maybe a few would. But apparently they've all been warned, so I'd suggest a new tactic.

Oh Black, haven't you noticed? That truly enormous ego of yours crushes anything that comes even remotely near you, let us not even speak of a potential date. though you could go with yourself, it wouldn't be too much different. It'd be quite entertaining to see you dance a valse a trois temps with yourself.
